Gili Trawangan, the largest of the three Gili islands, is just a 15-minute fast boat ride from Lombok. Here, the pace of life is enchanting – no cars or motorbikes disrupt the serenity. We certainly love this kind of quiet. Horse-drawn carts locally called ‘cidomos,’ can take you wherever you need to go, but the island is small enough to explore by bike or on foot—perfect if you like morning walks like we do. Most of the island’s action is centred around a 2-km stretch of beachfront, just 400 metres from Pondok Santi Estate. It’s a place where you can really take it slow and experience an inspiring change of pace.
